The Opportunity
Shape Something Different - You're not just looking for another job – you want to shape something. This is your chance to make an impact as a Building Sciences Consultant with a team that thrives on curiosity, connection, and collaboration.
Based in our downtown Toronto or Thornhill office and reporting to the GTA Building Sciences Director, you'll contribute to specialty consulting services within one of Canada's largest building sciences teams. Working with expertise spanning building envelopes, material science, restoration, constructability, project management, cost estimating, and asset management, you'll help evaluate existing conditions and develop practical, sustainable solutions that improve building performance, durability, and value.
Your Impact
- Contribute engineering knowledge to building science, building envelope, restoration, and asset management assignments.
- Produce building and component evaluations, technical reports, designs, specifications, and tender documents with guidance from experienced professionals.
- Deliver construction site reviews and quality assurance observations that support durable repairs and successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with contractors, subconsultants, and engineering disciplines to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
- Strengthen contract administration by supporting project documentation, deliverables, cost control, and communication with project managers.
- Apply sustainable thinking and lessons from existing-building performance to help clients make informed renewal and capital-planning decisions.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- A bachelor's degree in civil, building science, architectural, mechanical, or electrical engineering; or a diploma in architectural technology, engineering technology, or a construction-related discipline.
- Exposure through summer, co-op, academic, or professional work in building sciences, engineering, architecture, or construction is an asset but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD to support technical analysis, drawings, reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Ability to interpret building conditions, organize technical information, and communicate findings clearly to project teams, contractors, and clients.
- Commitment to sustainable building practices and continued development of relevant codes, standards, technologies, and consulting skills.
- A valid driver's licence; access to a vehicle is required for the Thornhill office.

Compensation
- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $73,400 - $97,200
- MB & ON: $67,000 - $92,200
- NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $66,300 - $88,000
