Job Overview
Our client is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Customer Service Representative / Inside Sales Support professional to join its small team in Edmonton. This role is primarily focused on handling inbound customer calls, processing orders, and providing exceptional customer support, with some additional sales support responsibilities.
The ideal candidate has excellent verbal communication and listening skills, strong computer proficiency, and a calm, approachable phone manner. They should be comfortable managing customer inquiries while entering information into the system and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle approximately 30 inbound customer calls per day, responding to inquiries and providing timely, helpful support.
- Create, enter, and process customer orders accurately in the system.
- Answer customer questions and assist with order-related inquiries and requests.
- Provide inside sales support as required, helping maintain positive customer relationships.
- Use a headset while navigating computer systems and entering customer information simultaneously.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, ensuring customers feel heard, valued, and supported.
- Maintain accurate records and demonstrate strong attention to detail when processing orders.
- Collaborate with a small team to support daily customer service and operational needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, call centre operations, order processing, or inside sales support is preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Clear articulation and a comfortable speaking pace, with a friendly, natural, and approachable telephone manner.
- Strong active listening skills and the patience to handle customer inquiries calmly and professionally.
- Ability to communicate conversationally and genuinely, adapting to a diverse customer base, including rural Alberta customers.
- Strong computer, email, typing, and data-entry skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively while speaking with customers and entering information into the system.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and updating customer information.
- Professional, dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance.
