Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years in a senior software design or technical leadership role.
- Proficiency in object-oriented design using industry standard tools (UML).
- Experience in application or real-time development on Linux platform (user space).
- Strong experience in application software development in C/C++/C# (5 years).
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve software development productivity and quality.
- Solid scripting skills: Bash, Python, Lua, etc.
- Experience with product and solution cybersecurity.
- Ability to produce high quality code to satisfy functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience with communication protocols and web services (BACnet, Modbus, KNX, Zigbee).
- Solid experience in continuous integration and Application Development mixing multiple languages.
- Experience in Multi-Threaded/Multi-Process applications and distributed solutions.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership and ownership with ability to mentor junior and intermediate software developers.
- Proactive and independent with no supervision required.
- Creative designer and problem solver.
- Experience with Building Management Systems, HVAC controls, and energy management systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with product design from scratch to production line.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Analyze and clarify product requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests.
- Review design, code, and test.
- Document the design, implementation, and test results.
- Design, improve, and maintain CI/CD infrastructure and automation pipelines.
- Produce high quality and highly secure software according to specifications.
- Analyze, plan, and estimate efforts then commit and deliver accordingly.
