Detailed Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Data Masking Specialist to support data privacy and masking initiatives within Mainframe environments. The candidate will work extensively with z/OS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM datasets, and Mainframe utilities to analyze, transform, and mask sensitive information while preserving data integrity and application functionality.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Mainframe file structures, COBOL copybooks, record layouts, EBCDIC data formats, batch processing, and automation utilities. Experience with data masking projects is an added advantage.
Top 3 Required Skills:
Strong Mainframe experience with z/OS, COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Hands-on experience with Mainframe datasets, VSAM, file formats, COBOL copybooks, and record layouts.
Strong troubleshooting experience with batch jobs, JCL execution, and Mainframe data processing.
Top 3 Preferred Skills:
Experience with REXX, DFSORT, ICETOOL, or similar Mainframe automation utilities.
Knowledge of EBCDIC, fixed/variable length records, and COMP-3 data structures.
Experience supporting data masking, data privacy, or data transformation initiatives.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
