Captain, LR45 (Ref. #:2026-004) Sunwest Aviation Ltd. is the leading Western Canadian operator of jet and turboprop charter aircraft. We currently have an opportunity available for a Captain, LR45. Reporting to the Chief Pilot, this position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following: Type of Employment: Full-time Location: Calgary Position Shift: 24 hour call out Salary/Hourly: $118,333 to $150,000 Competition Deadline: 2026-09-30 Date Posted: 2025-04-02 Duties and Responsibilities: The Lear 45 Captain is responsible for the proficient and safe operation of the Lear 45 aircraft. Perform all required duties and responsibilities associated with the Lear 45 aircraft. Strictly adhere to safety regulations in accordance with company requirements, Transport Canada, and CARs (Civil Aviation Regulations). Execute any additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Pilot and/or Deputy Chief Pilot The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies. In addition personality profiling will be required of all candidates granted an interview for this position. Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: Must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence, along with a valid Instrument and Type rating (if required). 3,500 hours Total Time. 2,000 hours PIC. 2,000hours Multi-Engine. 1,500 hours Multi PIC. 200 hours jet. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience on the Lear 45. Demonstrate excellent customer service abilities. Possess strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Exhibit good organizational and time management skills. Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Adhere to the safety accountabilities as per Sunwest’s Safety Management System manual.
