Position Overview The Manager - Line Maintenance is responsible for the safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective management of all line maintenance activities across the company's national network. This includes oversight of company-employed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs – assigned and unassigned) and third-party line maintenance providers operating on the company's behalf. The Manager ensures that all line maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with Transport Canada regulations, company policies, maintenance programs, and industry best practices while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability and customer service. The position provides operational leadership across multiple bases, ensuring standardized maintenance practices, effective resource utilization, and consistent service delivery throughout the network. What You Will Do Operational Leadership Lead all day-to-day line maintenance operations across the national network. Ensure consistent execution of maintenance activities across all locations. Establish standardized operating procedures and work practices. Manage the performance of contracted maintenance providers Promote a proactive safety culture Ensure compliance with: CARs AMO procedures MPM Company Maintenance Control Manual Maintenance programs OEM maintenance documentation Provide leadership for: AMEs Crew Chiefs Base Supervisors (where applicable) Responsibilities include: Performance management Coaching and mentoring Succession planning Workforce planning Employee engagement Scheduling oversight Recruitment support Labour relations support What You Will Bring Education Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence preferred Diploma or Degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, Aviation Management or related discipline preferred Experience Minimum 10 years aviation maintenance experience Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management role Experience managing multiple maintenance locations Experience working within a Transport Canada AMO Experience managing customer fleets Experience overseeing third-party maintenance providers Experience leading geographically dispersed teams Knowledge Strong knowledge of: Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) Approved Maintenance Organizations Aircraft maintenance planning Human Factors Safety Management Systems Reliability programs Aircraft technical records Maintenance Control processes Aircraft dispatch requirements What We Will Do For You At Execaire Aviation, your career journey matters.
