Capital Engineering is looking for talented Engineering Designers/Technologists to join our growing team. We have opportunities across multiple disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural, Piping, or Instrumentation & Controls.
What You’ll Do
Depending on your discipline and experience, you may:
- Develop and revise engineering drawings, models, layouts, and design documentation.
- Work with engineers and project teams to develop practical design solutions.
- Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, calculations, and project requirements.
- Complete design work in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate designs with other disciplines and identify potential conflicts.
- Participate in field visits, site measurements, and construction support as required.
- Review drawings and deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
- Support projects through various stages, from concept and detailed design through construction.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma, certificate, or technical education relevant to your discipline.
- Experience in industrial projects, ideally in an EPC setting.
- Experience in oil & gas, energy, mining, and/or chemical sectors.
- Experience in oil sands, upgrading, refining, and tailings are considered an asset.
- Proficiency with relevant design software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
- Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and delivering practical solutions.
