Senior React Native Developer | Incorporated Contract | Hybrid working
We are partnering with a leading digital banking organisation undertaking a greenfield rebuild of its flagship mobile banking application. This is a unique opportunity to join at the very beginning of a major mobile transformation programme, helping shape the architecture, engineering standards, and technical direction of a brand-new cross-platform banking application built with React Native.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
- Define technical architecture, engineering standards, and development best practices for a new mobile platform.
- Translate business and user requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
- Integrate native iOS and Android functionality where required to optimise performance and enable platform-specific features.
- Provide expert technical consultation to stakeholders and senior leadership, supporting technology selection and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise engineering standards.
- Contribute to ongoing innovation and continuous improvement across the mobile engineering function.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications.
- React Native
- TypeScript
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, performance optimisation, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience engaging directly with stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
