Position Title: Supervisor, Rental and Tech (Seasonal)

Job Summary: Supervisor, Rental and Tech plays a key leadership role in supporting the successful operation of the Rental and Tech department. Working closely with the Manager, this individual oversees day-to-day staff supervision, ensures operational efficiency, and maintains a high level of guest service. The Supervisor will also perform hands-on tasks as needed, including fitting and adjusting ski and snowboard equipment, while fostering a safe, clean, and guest-focused environment.
This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead and motivate seasonal team members in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, mentor, and support Rental and Tech Attendants to ensure exceptional guest service and safe operations.
- Oversee daily shift schedules, task assignments, shift trading and employee breaks.
- Monitor team performance and provide timely feedback, coaching, and corrective actions when necessary.
- Assist in seasonal recruitment, interviewing, and selection of Rental and Tech staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations of staff Collaborate with the Manager to develop and deliver pre-season training programs.
- Support onboarding and ongoing development of staff, ensuring adherence to operational and safety procedures.
- Act as the lead point of contact during shifts in the absence of the Manager.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
Operational & Guest Service Excellence
- Provide expert fitting and adjustments of ski and snowboard equipment (boots, skis, snowboards, helmets, poles).
- Ensure all rental equipment is set up appropriately based on guest weight, height, skill level, and other criteria.
- Support smooth operation of equipment check-in and check-out using the Northsoft system.
- Ensure accurate and complete entry of guest data into relevant databases (Northsoft and Dayforce).
- Deliver a welcoming and informative experience for all guests, addressing questions and resolving issues efficiently.
- Step into frontline Rental & Tech Attendant duties as needed to support high-volume times.
- Uphold and enforce all safety procedures, equipment handling protocols, and guest interaction standards.
Administration & Cleanliness
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all rental and tech workspaces.
- Support inventory checks, maintenance tracking, and equipment organization.
- Ensure team members comply with Chicopee’s uniform, attendance, and behavioral policies.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and team management experience, preferably in a seasonal or recreational setting.
- Ability to inspire, lead, and support a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 20.4 kg (45 lbs), standing for long periods, and working in varied weather conditions.
- Proficient in or willing to learn Dayforce and Northsoft systems.
- Previous ski/snowboard equipment handling or retail experience is a strong asset.

- Must maintain all required certifications and attend all scheduled trainings.
