Position Overview
The roles are focused on implementing the 7S workplace organization standard across 9 data centers in the Montreal area, with a hub location in Pointe-Claire. The 4 contractor positions are dedicated to implementing the 7S workplace organization standard across data centers.
The work involves organizing and labeling tools, equipment, and storage areas in data halls and toolrooms - including:
- Foam-cut tool outlines in drawers
- Floor tape markings
- Slat wall identification
- P-Touch label maker use
The goal is to eliminate tool loss and inefficiency caused by disorganized workspaces.
Beyond the core 7S work, contractors will also support two additional initiatives:
1. Health & Safety Equipment QR Coding
- Apply QR codes to health and safety equipment throughout data halls.
- Equipment includes fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, first aid kits, defibrillators, and earplugs dispensers.
- The goal is to streamline monthly inspections.
2. Industrial Extension Cord Inventory
- Create an inventory of industrial extension cords.
- Record the length of each cord.
- Apply QR codes to both ends of the cords so the correct cord can be identified by scanning rather than manual measurement.
Safety Requirement
- Candidates must wear synthetic steel-toe safety shoes.
The expected base salary range for this position is $25 – $28 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.
