We are looking for a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) to provide on-site medical support and emergency response at industrial and oil & gas project sites across Alberta.
You will help keep workers safe by providing immediate medical care, responding to emergencies, and supporting site safety.
Key Responsibilities
Emergency Medical Response
- Provide medical assessment, treatment, and stabilization during emergencies.
- Respond quickly to workplace injuries, illnesses, and medical calls.
- Coordinate with emergency services when additional medical care or transportation is needed.
- Remain ready to respond to emergencies at all times.
Safety Support
- Monitor the site for safety concerns and hazards.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
- Promote safe work practices and follow company safety procedures.
- Support emergency preparedness plans and drills.
Medical Equipment & Documentation
- Inspect and maintain medical kits and emergency equipment.
- Keep all medical supplies properly stocked and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient and incident records.
Training & Compliance
- Participate in emergency response drills and safety exercises.
- Keep all required certifications and training up to date.
- Complete company training and site orientations.
Work Environment
- Rotational shifts depending on the project.
- Work at remote industrial sites across Alberta and Western Canada.
- Outdoor and physically demanding work environments.
- Typical shifts are 10–12 hours.
Requirements
- Valid Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) certification.
- Current registration/license with the provincial regulatory body.
- Valid AED & CPR certification.
- Valid H2S Alive certification.
- Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work rotational shifts at remote industrial sites.
