ABOUT THE ROLE
We are searching for a Director of Food and Beverage for a landmark luxury hotel in Edmonton,
Alberta. This is an award-winning property with a rich history, recognized for culinary excellence
and an iconic position within the city. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, this senior leadership role
sets the creative and commercial tone for all dining experiences across restaurants, bars, events, and banqueting.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the culinary, outlets, events, and stewarding teams, building a culture of excellence, trust, and collaboration
- Drive the F&B vision across the property, bringing fresh ideas, current food and cocktail trends, and a distinctive dining identity
- Develop and deliver regular financial outlooks for the division; analyze performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability
- Contribute to the hotel's annual operating budget, marketing plan, and capital planning process
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of the local and regional F&B landscape to keep the property ahead of the market
- Collaborate with local producers, suppliers, and procurement to maintain the highest product standards
- Build community partnerships and local initiatives that strengthen the property's brand presence
- Create and update menus that are innovative, seasonally inspired, commercially sound, and aligned with the hotel's positioning
- Ensure full compliance with brand standards, food safety regulations, and all required certifications
WHAT YOU BRING
- Substantial progressive leadership experience within hotel Food and Beverage operations
- Proven track record managing a multi-outlet F&B operation with a strong focus on beverage programming and evolving trends
- Strong commercial acumen including pricing strategy, revenue management, cost control, and P&L ownership
- Ability to drive revenue and profitability without compromising guest or colleague experience
- Expertise in menu concept and design, effective marketing, and online reputation management
- Valid Food Safety, Smart Serve, and ProServe certifications required
- University degree or college diploma in Hotel Management, F&B; Management, or a culinary discipline preferred
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada - visa sponsorship is not available
