About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer/Data engineer to join a Capital Measurement Reporting (CMR) Data Modernization program within the banking sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing trusted, scalable, and well-governed analytics solutions supporting capital reporting, risk metrics, finance reporting, and executive decision-making.
This is an opportunity to work within a complex and highly dynamic environment, partnering closely with Risk, Finance, Capital Management, Regulatory Reporting, Data Engineering, and Technology teams.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with ambiguity, adapting to changing business requirements, learning new technologies, and communicating complex data concepts through effective storytelling and visualization.

- 8+ years of Power BI development experience.
- 8+ years of report/dashboard development.
- 8+ years of SQL experience.
- 8+ years of DAX experience.
- 8+ years of Power Query/M Query/M Code experience.
- 8+ years of data/process mapping experience.
- 8+ years of data storytelling experience, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- 8+ years of technical/functional documentation experience.
- Strong experience with Power Automate.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and reporting architecture.
- Experience working with complex data environments and multiple upstream data sources.
- Strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and governance.
- Ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
Banking / Domain Experience

Education
- Post-secondary education in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
Work Environment
This role is part of a 12-person team working on a major transformation initiative using modern data and analytics technologies.
The environment is highly dynamic, with evolving business requirements. The successful candidate should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, adapting quickly, collaborating across teams, and taking ownership of deliverables.
Approximately 20% of the role involves meetings, with the remainder focused on development, data analysis, ETL, dashboard development, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery.
