What You Do
As a busser at St. Louis, you are a key link within the restaurant. Your ability to be everywhere and assist staff in accomplishing their goals is vital to the success of operations.
As a busser, you are responsible for assisting the wait staff and bartenders in a timely fashion. You may be the first person to see guests as they arrive, greet them, and assist in seating. If you are present as guests are leaving, thank them and wish them well.
Required Skills
You Will:
- Clear away glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery etc. from tables and push in chairs.
- Wipe table clean ensuring proper sanitization measures are followed.
- Replace menus and napkins.
- Run food from expo station to the appropriate table numbers.
- Double check contents of order, i.e., side sauces, etc.
- Wash all dishes from floor, patio, and bar.
- Restock kitchen shelves with clean dishes.
- Stock all shelves in beer fridge including wines and fill ice buckets.
- Change kegs when required – ensure enough backups in the walk-in.
- Empty and store beer cases.
- Check washrooms, at a minimum, every twenty minutes and clean or replace supplies as needed.
- Empty all garbage in restaurant, including kitchen and office.
- Clean the dish-pit area (walls, sink, floor, etc.).
- Performing additional tasks as assigned.
