Job Description
Position: Gaming Services Representative (1 Year Contract)
Starting Range: Starting at $19.62 (Pending Education & Experience)
Monday to Friday (Part-time, 10 to 30 hours, as per business needs)
Location: 20 Syrette Lake Road, GRFN Bingo Entities

Garden River First Nation, also known as Ketegaunseebee is located near Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The community is part of the Ojibway band and is recognized for its cultural heritage. Created in 1850 with the signing of the Robinson-Huron Treaty, GRFN administers a variety of programs and services. Various department managers oversee their individual programs, and overall administrative duties are overseen by a Chief Administrative Officer who is directly responsible to the Council who in turn, are responsible to the membership. Garden River First Nation is seeking a Gaming Services Representative (GSR) to support the smooth operation of bingo and gaming activities. The GSR will provide excellent customer service, sell gaming-related products, operate and maintain gaming equipment, assist with customer inquiries, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming gaming environment. The position is responsible for following all applicable legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and Garden River First Nation’s Mission, Vision, and strategic priorities.
What You Will Do
- Sell bingo products, including minis, twoonies, 4-ball, specials, U Pick Em, and progressive tickets
- Provide friendly, courteous, and timely customer service and assistance to bingo players
- Operate and monitor bingo equipment, boards, and systems, ensuring equipment is inspected and functioning properly
- Support live bingo operations by maintaining chat, acknowledging winners, and verifying winning cards
- Accurately count, reconcile, and return bingo sales in cash or card format, as required
- Follow all Occupational Health and Safety requirements, workplace policies, procedures, and perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- G.E.D or Secondary Diploma preferred
- Minimum one (1) year related work experience
- Must have pleasant, courteous and professional personality to deliver quality customer service
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and/or shift work including evenings and weekends
- Ability to be consistent and display a positive/helpful attitude
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of First Nation culture, values, and traditions
- Clear CPIC required as a condition of employment
- Must be willing to travel
