Contract Duration: 12 months
Daily Responsibilities:
The Money Market Settlements & Confirmations Officer will manage trade processing, exceptions, discrepancies, and customer service for Money Market trades. A typical day involves interpreting and resolving client and trader emails, reviewing reports, investigating breaks, following up on outstanding items, and processing trades accurately under time constraints.
- Verify and confirm money market transactions with counterparties to ensure accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
- Manage the settlement and clearing process for money market transactions, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Liaise with internal departments and external counterparties to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of all confirmations and settlements for audit and reporting purposes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor and adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the transaction process.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the confirmation and settlement operations.
Must-have Skills:
- Experience in a banking back office in a settlements or similar role for 2-3 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or a similar area of study.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- 4-5 years in banking operations in a settlements or similar role.
Soft skills:
- Mult-tasking, independent work, excellent customer service and communication skills.
