Job Title: Grain Accounting Summer Student
Term: May 2027 – August 2027
Location: G3 Head Office (On-Site)
The Grain Accounting Summer Student will be responsible for supporting the timely and accurate processing of grain unloads, sales orders, contract application and invoicing, including terminal services. They are also responsible to ensure any related payables associated with grain movement are entered and paid.
Responsibilities:
- Work with logistics and grain buyers to record unload information into Agrosoft
- Ensure accurate contract application and processing of customer invoices for all locations
- Verify and post accounts payable data into ledgers
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Vendor inquiry and support as needed
- Accurate processing of service invoices for terminal customers
- Assist in other areas and functions of the finance department
Qualifications and Experience:
- Actively pursuing degree/certificate in Business Administration or Accounting
- Passion to learn with ability to ask questions and ascertain information
- Ability to prioritize
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to execute high level of volume and accuracy, with close attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as general accounting procedures
- Effective communication and time management skills
- High level of customer service
