Hughes Collective is pleased to present an exciting opportunity on behalf of our client.
Title: Food Store Manager
Location: Moosomin, SK
Reporting to: Director of Operations - Food
Our Client
Our client is a long-standing co-operative operating across southeastern Saskatchewan. What began as a small local operation has grown into a multi-division retail organization with locations supporting agriculture, fuel, food, and home and building supplies.
Their locations are part of the daily rhythm of the communities around them. Farmers stop in before heading to the field, families fuel up on their way through town, and regular customers know the staff behind the counter by name.
Across the organization you will find experienced teams and leaders who run their locations with clear expectations and strong operational standards. Many employees have been with the co-operative for years, creating an environment where knowledge is shared, new staff are supported, and people understand the importance of the work they do in their communities.
The Opportunity
As the Food Store Manager, you'll step into an established operation with a strong team and a positive workplace culture worth preserving. You'll lead five department managers, support their development, and work together to improve financial performance, strengthen store operations, and deliver an excellent customer experience.
The 30,000-square-foot flagship store serves as a central hub for the co-operative's food operations across southeastern Saskatchewan, with expanded fresh food departments and production capacity that supports other locations. With 2026 sales projected at $21 million, you'll have considerable responsibility for the financial performance of the store, along with the opportunity to introduce new ideas and influence how the business continues to grow.
