Delivery Project Manager
Location: Toronto, ON
Contract Duration: 12 months
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 1 day per week in office
Rate: $90–$95/hour
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Delivery Project Manager to support a technology team within Capital Markets, with a focus on Collateral Management and related financial technology platforms.
This role requires a strong combination of project delivery expertise and hands-on knowledge of Capital Markets, Collateral, XVA, lending products, and financial technology. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with both business and technology stakeholders and will bring a solid understanding of Agile delivery and Scrum practices.
This is not purely a Scrum/Agile management role. Candidates should have meaningful domain experience within Capital Markets, particularly around Collateral and XVA, as well as an understanding of middle-market lending, loans, and mortgages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives within a Capital Markets environment.
- Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, resources, risks, issues, and budgets.
- Partner with business, technology, product, and operations stakeholders to establish project objectives and delivery plans.
- Coordinate delivery activities across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog discussions, and other delivery forums.
- Monitor project milestones and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and potential delivery issues.
- Prepare project status updates, reporting, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
- Support requirements gathering, feasibility assessments, estimates, and project planning activities.
- Ensure appropriate governance, controls, documentation, and SDLC practices are followed.
- Coordinate testing, implementation, and release activities through to production.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate resolution of project-level issues.
- Work closely with technology teams supporting collateral-related applications and platforms.
Must-Have Experience
- 6–8+ years of Project Management / Delivery Management experience, preferably within financial services or Capital Markets.
- Strong Capital Markets technology experience.
- Direct experience working with Collateral Management processes, platforms, or technology.
- Strong understanding of XVA concepts and their relationship to Capital Markets and collateral.
- Knowledge of middle-market lending, loans, and mortgage products.
- Strong experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional technology projects in a matrix environment.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience managing project risks, dependencies, budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working closely with both business and technology teams.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Databricks or modern data platforms.
- Experience supporting internally developed financial applications.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project planning tools.
- Familiarity with Capital Markets lending, funding, risk, or collateral technology.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a Capital Markets Project Manager who understands the business domain, rather than someone whose experience is limited to Scrum Master or generic technology project management responsibilities.
Candidates should be able to comfortably discuss Collateral, XVA, loans, mortgages, and Capital Markets technology while also demonstrating strong project delivery, Agile/Scrum, stakeholder management, and governance experience.
