About The Role
Insi is building its delivery team for a federal government client (Department of National Defence, TBIPS Supply Arrangement) supporting the sustainment of in-house Oracle-based engineering and airworthiness management products. This resource performs full-stack development across the UI and data layers of these applications.
What you'll do
- Develop, enhance, and maintain backend logic in Oracle databases: complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using Oracle PL/SQL.
- Design, enhance, and maintain user interfaces in Oracle Application Express (APEX), translating user stories and business requirements into intuitive UI designs, workflows, and interactive prototypes.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
- Use Azure DevOps and Git for version control, quality assurance, and configuration management.
- Document software designs, system architecture, and codebase for maintainability.
Must-have
- Hands-on production experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers).
- Hands-on production experience with Oracle APEX front-end development.
- Experience with Azure DevOps / Git-based workflows and Agile delivery.
- Fluent English, spoken and written, with minimal errors - no interpreter or assistance permitted.
- Must be a Canadian citizen - a requirement for eligibility for the Government of Canada Secret-level personnel security screening this role needs to start work.
- Able to work on-site at 455 Boulevard de la Carrière, Gatineau, QC, on a primarily in-person basis (hybrid only if approved case-by-case by the client).
Nice-to-have
- Prior delivery experience on a Government of Canada IT services contract (TBIPS, ProServices, or similar).
- Familiarity with Unified Codes APEX Office Print (AOP).
