JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support one of Canada's largest agricultural and industrial organizations based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on a 12-month contract with a high-likelihood of extension. This individual will be responsible for leading strategic business and technology initiatives across the Company's Upstream operating sites, partnering closely with business leaders, maintenance teams, operational stakeholders, vendors, and IT organizations to improve operational effectiveness, standardize business processes, and enhance technology capabilities across the enterprise.
The successful candidate will lead complex projects that span business discovery, process improvement, technology assessments, software implementations, custom application deployments, and multi-site rollouts. The initial focus of this role will be an Electrical Maintenance Strategy Discovery initiative, where the Project Manager will facilitate stakeholder workshops, assess current maintenance practices and supporting technologies, identify process improvement opportunities, and help establish a roadmap for future implementation.
This individual will serve as the primary coordinator between business and technology teams, ensuring projects are effectively planned, governed, and delivered while maintaining alignment with organizational priorities. They will be responsible for facilitating requirements gathering sessions, process mapping activities, solution assessments, roadmap development, executive presentations, project governance, and implementation planning. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and consultative project leader who thrives in industrial environments and has experience driving cross-functional transformation initiatives involving business operations, maintenance organizations, enterprise applications, and operational technology systems. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of experience delivering complex business and technology projects as a Project Manager
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification
- Experience creating business process documentation, workflow diagrams, future-state assessments, roadmaps, implementation plans, and project recommendations
- Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills with experience presenting to leadership and Steering Committees
- Proficiency with Microsoft project management and collaboration tools (Microsoft Project, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.)
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience delivering projects within mining, manufacturing, agriculture, energy, utilities, or other industrial operational environments
- Familiarity with maintenance management, asset management, operational technology (OT), ERP, EAM, or related enterprise business systems
- Experience leading business transformation, process improvement, or organizational change initiatives
- Experience implementing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software solutions and enterprise applications
- Experience leading custom application deployments including testing, training, change management, and transition-to-support activities
- Experience coordinating multi-site deployments across geographically dispersed operational locations
- Experience developing business cases, project estimates, implementation roadmaps, and strategic technology recommendations
- Previous experience supporting maintenance, reliability, electrical operations, or operational excellence initiatives within industrial organizations
- Experience working within large enterprise environments with complex stakeholder groups and governance structures
