JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior HR Generalist acts as the primary HR partner for assigned departments, working closely with managers and employees to support day-to-day people initiatives and business objectives. They provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, attendance concerns, policy interpretation, and workplace investigations. This individual manages the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and offboarding. They partner with hiring managers to attract and hire talent while ensuring a positive employee experience throughout the process. The Senior HR Generalist supports performance review processes, coaches leaders on employee development, and helps address performance gaps through training and development initiatives. They also ensure compliance with employment legislation, maintain accurate employee records within HR systems, and collaborate with payroll on employee-related changes. Additionally, they support employee engagement initiatives, culture-building activities, HR reporting, and continuous improvement projects that enhance workplace effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years of HR Generalist experience. Experience supporting employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and HR compliance. Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation. Experience partnering directly with managers and leaders. Manufacturing or industrial environment experience. Strong HRIS experience, ideally with Dayforce HRIS and Payroll. Proven ability to identify process improvements and drive HRIS automation initiatives. Change management mindset with experience leading continuous improvement initiatives. Leadership potential with the ability to step into a team lead role within 12 months. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills. CHRP designation or actively working towards completion.

Act as an HRIS champion, identifying opportunities for automation, process improvement, and optimization within Dayforce. Support continuous improvement initiatives and help drive operational efficiencies across HR processes. Mentor and support team members, with the opportunity to grow into a formal leadership role in the near term.

Pay Rate: $80,000-100,000k
