Responsibilities
- Source and procure oriental products aligning with quality standards and budget.
- Negotiate terms, prices, and lead times with suppliers to maximize margin.
- Forecast demand and align orders with production schedules and inventory targets.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data and update procurement pipelines regularly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and quality standards.
- Track and report purchasing metrics to measure performance and visibility.
- Support budgeting and cost-control efforts through effective spend management.
- Assist in supplier vetting and performance reviews to ensure reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and targets.
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and new suppliers.
- Develop supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and proactive issue resolution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes.
Experience/Qualifications
- Proven oriental product sourcing experience with supplier negotiation.
- Ability to forecast demand and align orders with production schedules.
- Knowledge of trade regulations, compliance, and quality standards.
- Budgeting support and cost-control through effective spend management.
- Vendor vetting, supplier performance reviews, and reliability evaluation.
- Strong supplier relationship development and proactive issue resolution.
- Strong data accuracy in purchasing records and procurement pipelines.
- Experience tracking purchasing metrics and reporting to leadership.
- Cross-functional collaboration with production, logistics, and QA teams.
- Market monitoring for cost-saving opportunities and new supplier discovery.
- Continuous improvement mindset with process optimization in procurement.
- Ability to work on-site in a growth-driven, results-focused environment.
- Self-driven with accountability for individual success within a team.
