Our employer partner is into insurance and financial services and currently looking to add an experienced Claims Call Centre Associate to their team!
Job Overview:
The Claims Call Centre Associate is responsible for processing insurance claims, documenting loss reports, coordinating claim intake, and providing timely, high-quality customer service while supporting specialized projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Process routine and complex first reports of loss through various channels, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
Handle technical claims-related duties and support specialized projects and pilot initiatives.
Coordinate the intake and appropriate routing of claims requiring specialized expertise.
Monitor workloads and manage resources in accordance with established procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters, account managers, and claims specialists.
Communicate professionally with external partners, including insurance agents and brokers.
Follow applicable legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Meet departmental targets for service quality, call availability, and productivity.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of customer service experience; alternatively, an eligible insurance apprenticeship with an associate degree.
Completion of basic insurance coursework.
At least 18 months of contact centre experience.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Knowledge of the insurance industry is an asset.
Insurance licensing or the ability to obtain the required licence, as applicable.
For positions based in Quebec, fluency in written and spoken French and English is required.water
