A multi-faceted organization is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to support its centralized Human Resources function. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working with employee data, coordinating lifecycle processes, and providing responsive support to employees and managers across multiple locations.
The People Operations Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee information and coordinating key activities throughout the employee lifecycle. The position combines HR administration, HRIS management, compliance support, and employee service.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate employee onboarding activities, ensuring required documentation, system updates, and related tasks are completed accurately
- Manage employee departures and ensure required separation documentation and payroll-related activities are completed within applicable timelines
- Process employee data changes, including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and organizational reporting changes
- Maintain accurate and confidential digital employee records in accordance with privacy requirements
- Monitor HR workflows and resolve outstanding approvals, transactions, and system-related issues
- Troubleshoot employee and manager questions related to HR systems, access, and standard processes
- Serve as a first point of contact for HR administration inquiries and provide clear guidance to employees and managers
- Work closely with HR, payroll, benefits, and other internal teams to ensure employee lifecycle processes are coordinated effectively
- Investigate data discrepancies and identify the underlying cause of issues within HR systems
- Support consistent application of HR procedures and administrative processes across the organization
What You Bring
- 3-5 years of dedicated HR administration experience
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS is required
- Strong experience managing employee data with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
- Familiarity with employment documentation and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain HR processes and system workflows to non-technical users
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential employee and compensation information
- Strong attention to detail when managing complex employee information and organizational data
- Confidence navigating HR systems and resolving workflow or access issues
- A thorough understanding of employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employment changes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with HR, payroll, benefits, managers, and employees
- A service-oriented approach with the judgment to handle sensitive matters appropriately
