AGRICULTURAL FIELDMAN (permanent, full-time)

Purpose of the position
The position will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Planning, delivering, and evaluating agricultural programs and services such as the rental equipment program, chemical and tree seedlings, predator & wolf control, agricultural disease control, clubroot management, and the Veterinary Incorporated Services (VSI) program.'
- Hosting education and outreach events such as LARA workshops and Agricultural Appreciation Day.
- Coordinating the County's Rural Beautification Award and other associated awards.
- Overseeing the operation of the Community Gardens.
- Managing the successful facilitation of the Agricultural Service Board (ASB)
- Representing the County and collaborating with local farmers, Ag. producers, and related stakeholders.

- A Diploma in Agricultural Sciences, Natural Resources, or a related field (degree is preferred).
- At least 3 to 5 years experience plus 1+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Pesticide Applicators License is required.
- Class 5 Driver's License is required.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Intermediate computer skills, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
The successful candidate will require a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Drivers’ Abstract (documents must be dated within a 6-month period).
Position details
- Full-time permanent position, 2080 hours annually, 40-hour work week.
- Some evening and weekend obligations as required.
