Parks Operator II, Permanent Full-Time
Location: Lac La Biche, Alberta (no remote option)

Purpose of the position
This position plays an integral role in the beautification and enhancement within the county, including (but not limited to):
- Performs maintenance and repair on County lands, beaches/waterfronts, boat launches, trails,
- sports fields, parks and playgrounds, outdoor skating rinks, and cemeteries.
- Assists qualified trades personnel in projects with greater scope (i.e. Carpenters).
- Operates various types of equipment (i.e. Mowers, Skid steer) for turf management, boat
- launch installs, Outdoor rink ice installation/maintenance, etc.
- Performs pre-post inspections and maintenance on all fleet (i.e. washing vehicles/equipment).
- Assists with social events/meeting by lifting and moving tables, setting up tents, equipment,
- and other logistics.
- Completes opening and closing/securing asset procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Travel required to County facilities
- Outdoors exposed to seasonal elements year round

To Be Successful In This Position, You Will
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- 2 to 4 years related work experience .
- AARFP Parks & Sports Field training is an asset or be will to obtain
- First Aid is an asset.
- Chainsaw operation ticket is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting abilities.
- Experience working with hand tools and operating small equipment.
- Well-developed in public relations skills.
- Physical ability to perform daily labour tasks and life up to 50 lbs
- Hold Class 5 license

Position Details
- Permanent full-time position
- Salary range: $60,632.00 to $84,635.20 annually ($29.15 to $40.69 hourly)
- 2080 Hours Annually: 40 hour work week. Includes days, evenings, and weekends on a rotational basis.
