LeverageTek is actively seeking System Test Specialists for a 10-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Hybrid/On-site in Ottawa only
Key Tasks
- Learn the software, systems, and solution relevant to assigned testing activities
- Analyze project requirements and develop, review, and execute test cases using Azure DevOps, test plans, vendor design documents, and project documentation
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, execution results, and defects
- Validate functional, non-functional, system, and performance requirements
- Identify test coverage gaps and missing links between requirements and test procedures
- Record test results and document defects with supporting evidence, logs, screenshots, impact assessments, and reproduction steps
- Participate in test planning, project status meetings, defect triage, and technical discussions
- Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to investigate defects, validate corrective actions, and perform retesting
- Execute regression testing following defect corrections and software releases
- Contribute to test metrics, status reports, and quality reviews
- Ensure all deliverables meet project documentation and quality standards
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of directly related system testing experience in operational, mission-critical, or real-time user-driven environments such as defence, transportation, simulation, or industrial sectors
- Hands-on Azure DevOps experience in requirements management, test management, defect tracking, and reporting
- Demonstrated experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), or equivalent validation and verification activities
Qualifications
- Experience validating COTS solutions and integrated systems involving third-party suppliers
- Strong requirements traceability, test coverage analysis, and defect management capabilities
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of test maturity models such as TMMi
- Degree, diploma, or certification in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
