Property Accountant - Permanent - 19591
About the Opportunity
Our client in the downtown Ottawa area is seeking a Property Accountant to join their fast-paced, growing organization on a permanent, full-time basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Calculation of accruals, processing and recording of expenses and prepaids, review of amortization schedule
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts, resolving discrepancies, adjustments as needed
- Posting of journal entries, working closely with the General Ledger, adjustments as needed
- Assisting in the coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts
- Production of Financial Statements, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual results including Income Statements, P&L, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Management
- Preparing tax submissions
- Assisting with financial reporting and analysis as needed, working closely with Senior Management
- Providing reporting as needed
- Assisting with Month End & Year End reconciliations and closing
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related stream
- 4+ years of experience in full-cycle Accounting
- Experience with Yardi software ideal
- Exposure to Real Estate or Property Management industry is a strong asset
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (English mandatory)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
About the Job
The salary for this opportunity ranges from $75,000 to $65,000 based on relevant previous experience.
