Our client, a rapidly growing pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), is looking for a Project Manager to join its Montreal team.
This individual will manage cross-functional pharmaceutical projects from product development through commercialization, coordinating technical, operational and client-facing activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with GMP requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead pharmaceutical projects from development through scale-up, validation and commercialization.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, milestones and resources.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across R&D, manufacturing, quality, validation and other technical functions.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication regarding project progress, priorities, risks and deliverables.
- Monitor project risks and proactively develop solutions to maintain timelines and objectives.
- Oversee technical deliverables, documentation and validation activities in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Provide clear project updates, reports and executive-level summaries.
- Support continuous improvement of project management processes, tools and best practices.
- Ensure effective project closure, documentation and knowledge transfer.
Ideal profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or another relevant discipline.
- 5+ years of project management experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Experience managing projects across the pharmaceutical product lifecycle, ideally from development through commercialization.
- Experience within a CDMO/CMO environment is a strong asset.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, R&D, GMP and validation processes.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, timelines and resources.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
