Field Operator

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Operator to join our client's operations team. The successful candidate will have field operating experience.
This position is hands-on and field focused, requiring an operator who is comfortable working independently, monitoring wells and field equipment, identifying operating issues, and working closely with the plant and operations teams to maintain safe and reliable production.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and monitor thermal facility equipment and field systems.
- Conduct routine field rounds and equipment inspections.
- Monitor operating conditions, process parameters, and equipment performance.
- Perform de-oiling operations and associated field activities.
- Conduct routine process and equipment sampling.
- Perform equipment line-ups, operational changes, and field checks.
- Assist with commissioning, start-up, and shutdown activities.
- Identify abnormal operating conditions and take appropriate corrective action.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and communicate deficiencies to the appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with Control Room Operators, Maintenance, Engineering, and other site personnel.
- Complete operating logs, field readings, and required documentation.
- Support maintenance activities, isolations, and safe work execution as required.
- Participate in emergency response activities and site safety programs.
- Maintain a strong focus on process safety, environmental compliance, and operational reliability.
- Follow all company procedures, safe work practices, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of field operating experience.
- 4th or 3rd class Power Engineering certificate.
- Strong hands-on experience with thermal and field operations.
- Experience with de-oiling and field sampling.
- Experience with commissioning and start-up of wells and field facilities.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to recognize changing operating conditions and take appropriate action.
- Strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
- Valid driver's license.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands on Field Operator who understands how the wells and field facilities operate and can confidently identify and respond to issues in the field. You should be comfortable working outdoors in a remote operating environment, performing regular field rounds, troubleshooting equipment, and working with other operations disciplines to keep the facility running safely and efficiently.
