Role Description The Senior Project Manager – High Voltage is a full-time, on-site role based in Orangeville, ON. This role oversees the planning, execution, and completion of high voltage and civil construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with clients, engineers, field crews, and vendors; managing project timelines, resources, and logistics; and leading progress meetings and reporting. The Senior Project Manager reviews technical documentation, supports inspections, manages risk and issue resolution, and ensures compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The role also contributes to continuous improvement of project management processes and supports the mentoring and development of project team members.
Qualifications
- Project management skills, including Project Management and Inspection, with experience leading high voltage or civil construction projects.
- Expediting-related skills, including Expeditor and Expediting, to ensure materials, equipment, and services are delivered on time.
- Logistics Management skills to coordinate transportation, site deliveries, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Strong knowledge of high voltage electrical systems, substation construction, and power distribution infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and stakeholder expectations in complex field environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
- Relevant education in engineering, construction management, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
- Familiarity with Canadian electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards applicable to high voltage work.
