Responsibilities:
Outbound Prospecting - Research and identify potential customers along with strategizing within target accounts to convert them to qualified opportunities
Calls - Execute a high volume of outbound calls to qualify prospects as potential customers and successfully schedule qualified meetings
Emails - Execute outbound email sequences via Outreach, developing creative messaging strategies to connect with prospects
Discovery & Follow Up - Perform thorough discovery to learn about the businesses of each prospect and the challenges they face. Educate the prospective customer, follow up when needed, and provide value-driven conversations leading to scheduled qualified meetings.
Maintain CRM records in Hubspot so that you are on the same page with your account executives that you are partnered with
What we’re looking for
Desire to pursue a career in sales as our sales development roles have the ability career path into account executive role for successful employees
Great phone communicator with strong listening skills, confidence, and genuine curiosity to understand the prospects’ pains. Excellence in oral and written communication
Highly motivated, results driven, competitive, resilient, and fearless. A focused self-starter with a track record of overachievement in any field. Organized and strong time management skills
Customer orientation and impeccable customer skills: communication, empathy, and integrity
Collaborative team player with an optimistic demeanor and who enjoys friendly competition
Willingness to travel up to 10% for training, conferences and events
Bonus Points for:
Experience in prior lead generation and/or prospecting
Tech-laggard sales experience. You speak the language of the industry. You either worked hands-on in food distribution before or have previous experience selling into industries that are generally resistant to tech
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Candidate Profile
1+ years preferred but we're OK if you're new to a sales motion.
Expect to be in this role for 12+ months, your next step will be account executive, running the full cycle of sales process
