Senior AI Engineer:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Senior AI Engineer for a 3-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Richmond office.
Job Description:
The Senior AI Engineer will lead the development of enterprise-grade AI solutions, focusing on architecture, design, and implementation. This role involves new development of intelligent automation platforms and AI applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and production-ready.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise AI and intelligent automation solutions.
- Design and build production-grade AI applications, services, APIs, and integrations.
- Develop multi-agent and agentic AI solutions, orchestration frameworks, and intelligent workflow automation capabilities.
- Establish solution architectures, technical standards, reusable frameworks, and development patterns.
- Implement AI governance, security controls, observability, monitoring, and operational readiness capabilities.
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership to delivery teams.
- Collaborate with architects, cybersecurity specialists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure solution alignment with enterprise standards.
Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering and solution development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and enterprise AI platforms.
- Experience designing and developing cloud-native architectures using Azure.
- Strong understanding of secure software development, AI governance, application security, and enterprise architecture principles.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience serving as a Solution Architect, Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead.
- Experience developing Responsible AI controls, AI governance practices, and risk management approaches.
- Experience implementing AI evaluation, monitoring, observability, and model lifecycle management capabilities.
- Experience within large public sector, regulated, or highly governed organizations.
- Relevant certifications in AI, architecture, cloud platforms, or software engineering.
Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
