UX Designer - Senior:
On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a UX Designer - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is onsite 5 days a week at our client’s Toronto office.
UX Designer - Senior - Job Description:
This role involves working on a critical project focused on enhancing user experience design for web and mobile applications. The UX Designer will be responsible for creating effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces to improve public service delivery and procurement.
UX Designer - Senior - Responsibilities:
- Create and iterate on user interfaces for various projects, ensuring a great user experience.
- Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to inform design decisions.
- Design sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Lead UX projects and design workshops with stakeholders and business users.
- Manage end-to-end user research from recruiting to synthesis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Design and deliver optimized wireframes, user stories, and prototypes for various devices.
UX Designer - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
- Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance.
- Experience as a UX designer, interactive designer, or UI designer for web and mobile applications.
- Ability to define and lead UX projects and design workshops.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma and Canvas.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Design system and digital service standards.
- Experience with accessibility testing and meeting WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
- Strong communication skills for documentation and stakeholder collaboration.
UX Designer - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with complex design challenges and legacy systems.
- Prior public service or Ontario Public Service (OPS) experience.
- Proficient in designing with accessibility in mind.
- Ability to solve design problems creatively.
- Experience in managing client relationships and competing priorities.
UX Designer - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.
UX Designer - Senior - Start Date:
ASAP.
UX Designer - Senior - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, onsite 5 days a week.
