ProxyLink is seeking an experienced BI & Data Warehouse Developer to support a public-sector client on business intelligence, data warehousing, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining data warehouse and business intelligence solutions. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, Informatica, Power BI, Crystal Reports, and Business Objects (BOE).
Position Overview
The BI & Data Warehouse Developer will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The role involves developing ETL processes, data warehouse solutions, reporting applications, and BI dashboards while ensuring quality, performance, and alignment with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis, design, development, unit testing, debugging, defect fixing, and maintenance within data warehousing and BI environments.
- Design, develop, and test Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions.
- Design, develop, and test Informatica mappings and ETL workflows.
- Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from OLTP databases into data warehouses and data marts.
- Design, develop, and maintain Crystal Reports, Power BI dashboards, and Business Objects (BOE) reports.
- Analyze and design changes to existing web-based software and reporting solutions.
- Perform data analysis and develop reporting solutions based on business requirements.
- Conduct unit testing, troubleshoot defects, and support production issues.
- Participate in technical design discussions, walkthroughs, and solution reviews.
- Collaborate with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts throughout the SDLC.
- Prepare and maintain technical and system documentation.
- Communicate project progress, issues, risks, and technical information clearly to management and stakeholders.
- Support Agile development activities and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers when required.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of experience in data warehousing and Business Intelligence development.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions.
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing Informatica solutions.
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining Crystal Reports, Power BI, and Business Objects (BOE) reports.
- Strong experience with Data Warehouse architecture and design.
- Experience with dimensional modeling, data marts, ETL, reporting, and BI concepts.
- Strong understanding of RDBMS design concepts.
- Experience with relational database technologies and query languages.
- Experience analyzing, designing, developing, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.
- Experience working with existing web-based applications and designing enhancements or modifications.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience working in Agile development environments.
