Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Design user-friendly, visually appealing, and accessible UI/UX for web and mobile applications.
- Lead end-to-end UX projects, including workshops, stakeholder alignment, user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Translate research insights into sitemaps, user flows, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user stories.
- Conduct rapid design iterations and usability testing to improve user experience and product functionality.
- Identify design problems and develop intuitive, elegant, user-centered solutions.
- Make strategic UX/UI decisions for existing and new product features and functionality.
- Design responsive experiences optimized for multiple devices, platforms, and interfaces.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, business stakeholders, and clients to deliver digital products.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to improve and configure existing interfaces.
- Create clear design documentation, presentations, reports, and assessments for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Design with accessibility and WCAG 2.1 AA requirements in mind.
- Work with the Ontario Design System and follow Digital Service Standard principles.
- Experience addressing complex design challenges involving legacy systems and multiple stakeholders/approval processes.
- Manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain effective client and stakeholder relationships.
