We are working with a client based in Victoria who is seeking a Senior Accountant. This is a 6 month contract with the potential to be converted into a permanent role. Reporting into the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for:
- Providing oversight of AP, AR, and general ledger activities, and resolve recurring issues by improving processes
- Reviewing transactions, journal entries, reconciliations
- Leading the period-end close processes including managing period-end close timelines to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Support the Director of Finance in the ERP implementation by ensuring data accuracy as part of data migration and data governance prior to going live
The successful Senior Accountant will come with the following experience:
- 7 years in accounting and finance
- CPA designation or equivalence
- Prior experience leading a team of staff
