X-Ray Technologist
Position Summary
Russell Tobin is seeking skilled and patient-focused X-Ray Technologists for healthcare facilities across British Columbia. This opportunity offers the chance to work in hospital and diagnostic imaging settings, providing high-quality medical imaging services while supporting physicians and healthcare teams in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain examination processes.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment while ensuring radiation safety standards are met.
- Review images for quality and completeness before submission for interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance and radiation protection standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiography/X-Ray Technology program.
- Active registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
- Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Minimum one year of recent diagnostic imaging or X-ray experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment, and radiation safety principles.
- Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Experience with hospital-based imaging systems and electronic medical records is an asset.

Position Details
- Assignment Length: 4-13 weeks (extension opportunities available)
- Location: Multiple locations across British Columbia including Prince George, Terrace, Quesnel, Sechelt, Smithers, Prince Rupert, Burns Lake, Hazelton, and surrounding communities (On-site)
- Schedule & Shifts: Full-time hours; Day, Evening, and Night shifts based on facility requirements
