<p><strong>Sentinel Dock & Door Solutions</strong> is one of Canada’s fastest-growing providers of commercial dock and door services - built by bringing together some of the best regional experts in the industry.<strong>What does that mean for you? </strong>You’re not just joining a company - you’re joining <em><strong>a</strong> growing platform with real opportunity.</em> As we expand across the market, we’re investing heavily in our people, our training, and the future of the trade.</p><p><strong>NEX Industrial Supplies Inc.</strong> part of the Sentinel group, is looking for a <strong>Lead Hand, Service Technician</strong> who takes pride in doing quality work and wants to be part of something that’s growing.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><div><div><div><ul><li>Lead and mentor Service Technician Apprentices, helping develop the next generation of skilled trades professionals</li><li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair overhead doors, loading dock systems, and related equipment - keeping operations running safely and efficiently</li><li>Perform on-site welding and fabrication to support high-quality installations and repairs</li><li>Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, and site documentation, including photos</li><li>Take ownership of your tools and equipment- ensuring everything is well-maintained, safe, and ready to go</li><li>Champion safety and customer experience on every job, delivering work you can stand behind</li><li>Support and collaborate with teammates on more complex installs and service calls</li><li>Communicate clearly with both customers and internal teams to keep projects moving and expectations aligned</li></ul></div></div><p><strong>What you Bring:</strong></p><div><ul><li><div>5+ years of experience as a Lead Hand working with loading dock systems and commercial overhead doors</div></li><li><div>Hands-on welding experience, with the ability to support on-site repairs and custom work</div></li><li><div>Valid, clean driver’s license with reliable transportation to get you to and from job sites</div></li><li><div>Strong mechanical aptitude - you’re confident using hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting on the fly</div></li><li><div>Comfortable working at heights and in fast-paced, physically active environments</div></li><li><div>A positive, team-first mindset with a willingness to step up, support others, and get the job done right</div></li></ul><p><strong>What's in it for you:</strong></p><ul><li>Access to the Sentinel Training Facility, designed to set our technical team up for success and provide a clear progressive career path - a first-of-its-kind in the dock and door industry.
