Vehicle Operations Specialist to keep vehicles moving smoothly, from the moment they're ordered and shipped into Canada to onboarding, everyday fleet use, and final de-fleeting. You'll be the go-to link between internal departments, dealerships, transportation providers, and vendors, making sure every vehicle is in the right place, with the right paperwork, at the right time. This is a fully onsite role with 8-hour workdays, split between the Toronto head office (about two days a week) and the Mississauga parts distribution centre (about three days a week). Vehicle Operations Specialist Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound vehicle logistics into Canada and keep vehicle status and location records up to date.
- Work with carriers, vendors, and dealers to track shipments, publish schedules, and approve transportation invoices.
- Build the annual fleet forecast and manage vehicle ordering, configuration review, and production tracking.
- Receive and inspect fleet vehicles, check PDI quality, and handle registration with Service Ontario.
- Serve as the main contact for company vehicles, coordinating onboarding, swaps, maintenance, recalls, and repairs.
- Manage de-fleeting and resale, transport damage claims, and ownership transfers.
- Produce fleet, logistics, and financial reports, and support new model launch readiness.
Vehicle Operations Specialist Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, fleet management, or automotive
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must have a full G driver's licence and own transportation
- Able to provide a driver's abstract
- Able to travel between sites as needed
- Able to work fully onsite (a must)
- Flexible availability to work 8-hour days as business needs require (a must)
- Able to pass a background check
- Automotive industry experience and a passion for cars are assets
- Ability to provide 2–3 professional references
- Able to start immediately
Employment Details
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, flexible, fully onsite: about 2 days a week at head office (Toronto) and 3 days a week at the parts distribution centre (Mississauga), or as business needs require
- Location: Toronto & Mississauga, Ontario
- Pay: $30 – $33 per hour
