Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC or Mississauga, ON
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Travel: Regular travel throughout Quebec and Eastern Ontario, including occasional overnight travel.
Language Requirement: Fully bilingual in French and English.
SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities throughout Quebec and Eastern Ontario.
This position plays an important role in driving revenue growth, strengthening existing customer partnerships and ensuring customers receive exceptional service.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal operations teams to understand customer needs, resolve challenges and develop solutions that support long-term business relationships.
Location & Travel
This position may be based out of either The Erb Group’s Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec or Mississauga, Ontario location, depending on the successful candidate’s location.
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for supporting customers throughout Quebec and Eastern Ontario, with regular travel required across the assigned territory.
The role is customer-facing and requires frequent in-person meetings, relationship management and visits to Erb locations as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to support business growth and revenue objectives.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand accounts.
- Identify, prospect and secure new business opportunities throughout Quebec and Eastern Ontario.
- Conduct regular in-person customer meetings to review service performance, identify challenges and develop solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and strategic accounts.
- Lead customer negotiations, pricing discussions and contract renewals.
- Monitor sales performance, customer activity and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Develop sales forecasts, account plans and business development strategies.
- Work closely with Operations, Dispatch and other internal departments to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Address customer concerns and collaborate with internal teams to develop effective solutions.
- Support and develop sales team members through coaching, performance management and ongoing guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales opportunities and account activity.
- Represent The Erb Group professionally at customer meetings, industry events and other business development opportunities.
- Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to maintain strong customer relationships and support business development initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Fully bilingual in French and English, with the ability to conduct business meetings, presentations and negotiations in both languages.
- Previous sales leadership or management experience, including coaching, developing and managing employees.
- Strong background in B2B sales, business development and strategic account management.
- Transportation, logistics, freight or refrigerated transportation industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and grow existing customer accounts.
- Experience managing large customer portfolios and building relationships with key decision-makers.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with sales forecasting, performance metrics, business planning and revenue targets.
- Ability to identify customer challenges and develop practical, customer-focused solutions.
- Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or sales management tools.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout Quebec and Eastern Ontario.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal departments.
- Candidates may be based in Quebec or Ontario, provided they can effectively support the assigned territory and attend in-person customer meetings.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regular travel throughout Quebec and Eastern Ontario, including occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to attend and conduct customer meetings and presentations.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Salaried role based on a 45-hour workweek. Schedule will fluctuate based on organizational needs.
