TRS Staffing is seeking an experienced Refinery Engineer to support facility improvement initiatives, capital projects, and ongoing reliability efforts. Our client is a leading organization in the environmental and industrial services sector, recognized for its commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, technical records, drawings, and change management records.
- Support maintenance and reliability initiatives, including major shutdowns, turnarounds, and outage planning.
- Monitor project costs, schedules, and performance, and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable regulations, permits, standards, and company requirements.
- Provide engineering support for equipment upgrades, process improvements, troubleshooting, and facility modifications.
- Review equipment performance and maintenance programs, recommending improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Coordinate project activities across operations, maintenance, safety, environmental, and leadership teams.
- Lead projects from planning through completion, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Preform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
- Experience working in refinery environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and project execution.
- Experience supporting maintenance, reliability, and operational improvement activities.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance, facility permitting, and engineering standards.
- Proficiency with engineering design software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of industrial equipment and systems, including pumps, piping, valves, instrumentation, material handling equipment, and facility infrastructure.
