Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting a Brake Press/Burn Table Operator for the Fort MacKay location on a 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotation, 12-hour shifts.
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, your primary Brake Press Operator responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Set up and operation of a 1000 ton CNC brake press and 10ft. CNC rolls
- Working with steel 3/16” to 1 ½ “ thickness in the press brake and ¼” to 2” in the rolls
- Adhere to quality control standards and procedures
- Read blueprints and schematics
- Record keeping and reporting
- Material handling
- Performs other duties as required
Your primary Burn Table Operator responsibilities will include but not limited to;
- Aligns plate on table
- Selects program and adjusts setting to suit the burning project
- Makes appropriate adjustments to ensure accurately burned piles with no defects
- Checks burn quality of finished pieces and re-burn defective pieces, if required
- Assures the correct quantity is burned according to the burn sheet specifications
- Changes out torch tips, electrodes & nozzles, as required
- Clear the table
- Shut down and maintenance
- Record keeping and reporting
- Performs other duties as required
Your qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 2 years experience operating a brake press
- 2 years experience operating a burn table
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Forklift, crane & rigging experience and/or certification is preferred
