Funding Specialist
$80,000- $100,000 + bonus and benefits

Our client is a growing boutique commercial real estate finance firm with an established reputation in the Canadian market. The firm provides CMHC-insured, conventional, bridge, and mezzanine financing across multifamily, commercial real estate, and land. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants significant ownership of the funding process, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the ability to help shape processes within a growing platform.
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial mortgage transactions from commitment through funding and closing
- Coordinate with borrowers, legal counsel, insurers, and other third parties
- Review loan documentation and ensure funding conditions are satisfied
- Support post-closing administration and loan servicing
- Assist with underwriting and transaction analysis as required
- Manage multiple transactions while maintaining accuracy and deadlines
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in commercial mortgage funding, loan closing, mortgage administration, or commercial real estate finance
- Strong understanding of commercial mortgage transactions and funding processes
- CMHC experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
- Experience with a bank, mortgage lender, MIC, or commercial real estate finance platform is an asset
