Agilus Workforce Solutions is currently hiring a Network Engineer on behalf of one of our retail clients for a long-term contract opportunity in Mississauga, Ontario.

Role: Network Engineer
Location: Mississauga, ON (Fully Onsite)
Duration: Contract until January 31, 2027, with possibility of extension
Pay Rate: $55-$60/hr Incorporated or $45/hr T4
About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network infrastructure across a large multi-site environment. This position involves network implementation, troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations, security, and performance optimization.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Cisco and Juniper technologies, enterprise WAN/LAN networks, and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
- Perform network upgrades, migrations, and deployments including VLAN implementation, router and switch upgrades, LTE backup installations, and DSL migrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across enterprise WAN and LAN environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, equipment manufacturers, and ISPs.
- Monitor network performance and recommend improvements.
- Support network security initiatives and infrastructure enhancements.
- Coordinate hardware installations, racking, stacking, and cabling activities.
- Open and manage vendor tickets to ensure timely issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6+ years of Network Engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper networking platforms.
- Experience supporting large-scale WAN and LAN infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Knowledge of network security concepts and firewall technologies.
- Experience with network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or JNCIE certifications.
- Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks.
- Knowledge of network automation or scripting.
- Experience working in large enterprise or multi-site environments.
