ABOUT THE HQ DIVISION
Operating year-round, Air Inuit’s Hydro-Québec Division provides air transportation services to key Hydro-Québec sites located throughout the Saguenay, Abitibi, North Shore, and James Bay regions.
The division currently operates a fleet of four aircraft consisting of two Dash 8 Q400s and two Dash 8-300s. In 2026, these aircraft will be replaced by a modern fleet of ATR72-600s, reflecting our commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Technical Records Agent - Hydro-Québec is responsible for the control, validation, maintenance, and archiving of aircraft maintenance records and supporting documentation. The role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of all technical records, supporting the continued airworthiness of the fleet and providing the documentation required for maintenance activities, audits, and regulatory inspections.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and process aircraft maintenance documentation to ensure records are complete, accurate, and current;
- Update and maintain aircraft, engine, propeller, and component records in the electronic maintenance tracking system;
- Ensure maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, modifications, and component changes are properly recorded in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements;
- Review aircraft journey logs, technical logs, work packages, and maintenance documentation for completeness and accuracy;
- File, maintain, and archive aircraft maintenance records and supporting documentation in the appropriate locations;
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of aircraft, engine, and component status reports;
- Monitor maintenance documentation for discrepancies and report any irregularities to the Technical Records & Support Supervisor;
- Assist in tracking airworthiness directives, modifications, repairs, service bulletins, engineering orders, and other continuing airworthiness requirements;
- Support the preparation and updating of maintenance forecasts, reports, and operational documentation as required;
- Retrieve and provide technical records and documentation to Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Planning, and regulatory authorities when required;
- Assist during audits and inspections by ensuring maintenance records are accurate, complete, and readily available;
- Support the Quality Assurance Department during audit activities;
- Ensure document control procedures are followed and that all maintenance records remain secure, traceable, and compliant with regulatory requirements;
- Support Technical Library activities as required;
- Carry out all other assigned tasks.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Must hold a valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence;
- Thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance practices, maintenance documentation, technical records management, and continuing airworthiness requirements;
- Ability to interpret maintenance records, aircraft journey logs, maintenance releases, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, engineering orders, and other regulatory documentation;
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the aviation industry;
- Experience working in a Technical Records, Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, or Quality Assurance environment is considered an asset;
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance tracking systems and aircraft maintenance record-keeping processes;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computerized record management systems;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements;
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Airport Security Clearance (RAIC).
