As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and work effectively with diverse healthcare professionals. N95 Fit testing capability. Advanced competency certification in: It's your move Procedural sedation. Ketamine infusions. Lidocaine infusions. Cardiac Monitoring and Arterial Line certifications. Current “It’s Your Move” certification. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care surgical nursing experience. Demonstrated commitment to collaborative practice within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with the following systems. Connect Care. NetCare. Workforce Management (WFM).
