Your Opportunity:
The Bassano Health Centre is an acute and continuing care facility. Core programs at the Bassano Health Centre include 24-hour emergency, medicine, ambulatory care services, primary care clinic services, and community health. Bassano Health Centre has 4 acute care and 8 continuing care beds. As a member of the CoAct team, you will be responsible for the assessment, design, and implementation of continuing care services for a caseload of clients residing in this setting. The Registered Nurse will play a key role in resident care planning (interdisciplinary including resident and family) and allowing the resident to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. This environment is suitable for candidates who have a strong interest and skills in providing care to the elderly client. Using the principles of patient and family centered care, you will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and client to develop individualized care plans and support the client in meeting their care goals. Bassano is in Alberta, Canada. It is located on the Trans-Canada Highway approximately 140 km east of Calgary and 160 km northwest of Medicine Hat. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications:
Familiarity with the Continuing Care Health Service Standards (CCHSS) and Accommodation Standards. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certificate. Non-violent Crisis Intervention.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) year experience in Long Term Care or Supportive living experience preferred. The Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) Certificate.
