Job SummaryCollabera is seeking a BI Platform Operations Engineer to support a large Canadian pension fund's BI-as-a-Service team. This role focuses on production support, platform operations, incident management, and troubleshooting across Tableau, AWS QuickSight, and the organization's custom BI platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administration, monitoring, and production support for Tableau and AWS QuickSight environments, including dashboards, permissions, configurations, and issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BI platform incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive issues through to successful resolution.
- Support the BI-as-a-Service platform built on AWS technologies including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Athena, Glue, Lake Formation, and Terraform.
- Investigate backend issues involving Python scripts, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based deployments.
- Coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams during high-impact incidents to minimize operational disruption.
- Support the organization's migration from Tableau to AWS QuickSight by ensuring platform stability, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.
Required Skills
- Strong Tableau Administration and Production Support experience (infrastructure, permissions, dashboards, troubleshooting).
- Hands-on AWS QuickSight administration and support experience.
- Working knowledge of Python and APIs for troubleshooting and issue investigation.
- Experience with Production Support, Incident Management, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to independently manage critical production incidents.
- Exposure to AWS services, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD environments is highly preferred.
